Condenser Coils

Overview

The primary function of a Condenser coil is to transfer heat from a refrigerant to the outdoor air.  As refrigerant passes through and air passes over the coil, the refrigerant is first de-superheated and the condensed to a liquid.  In some cases, a liquid sub-cool is used to remove additional from the system.  During the de-superheat, condensing and sub-cooling stages, heat is transferred from the refrigerant to the outside air.
