Air Coolers

We offer various sizes of air coolers, ranging from small vertical coolers to large horizontal varieties. SRC is capable of manufacturing multiple air cooler configurations, including forced draft, push-pull, j-units, and v-core designs. 

Super Radiator Coils air coolers are custom designed for each project to meet specific needs. Some common applications for our air coolers include compressed gas, oil coolers, fluid coolers, and condensers.

Combo Gas/Oil Cooler

Oil coolers work to cool oil, typically in combustion engines. Once the oil enters the engine, it heats up, after which it passes through the oil cooler, which, after cooling, flows back into the hot area, creating a loop. This example features stainless steel pipe headers and stainless steel tubes with corrugated aluminum plate fins. It was designed for a landfill application and features a horizontal core induced draft configuration.

Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Cooler

Air coolers like this one can be found in CNG filling stations in the United States and Canada, and feature carbon steel and stainless pipe headers. It's made using carbon steel and stainless steel tubes with flat aluminum plate fins. This example unit features a horizontal core forced draft configuration.

Water/Glycol Cooler

This product was designed for use in a Canadian power plant, and was built using carbon steel pipe headers along with carbon steel tubes with corrugated aluminum fins. It features a horizontal core forced draft configuration.

Steam Condenser

This steam condenser was built for an oil refinery application and features carbon steel tubes with L-foot aluminum fins. Its plug box headers are made from carbon steel. It features a vertical core forced draft configuration.
