Dr. Yu has spent much of his life in academia, serving in multiple professor roles throughout his career and presenting guest lectures at various engineering schools around the world. Dr. Yu has worked with the University of South Carolina on multiple projects, including applying 3D printing technology to heat exchanger manufacturing as well as experimenting with special coatings on heat exchanger surfaces.
Dr. Yu worked with the University of Maryland's School of Engineering on the development and testing of heat exchangers created using 3D printers.
Dr. Jian has worked on multiple projects with Queen Mary University of London, including research on topics including the flow boil and condensation characteristics of mixtures in microscale as well as investigations into the microchannel condensation.
Dr. Yu has supported the University of Nebraska's Engineering Department through supplying sample coils for a research project on condensate's behavior on fins.
Dr. Yu has supported the research efforts of students from The University of Arizona's College of Engineering by supplying samples of several varieties of fin and tube enhancements.
Dr. Jian has supplied the Oak Ridge National Laboratory with a number of coils for various research projects.
