Spotlight on Super – Noah Reichel, Sr. Supply Chain Manager, SRC Virginia

Posted by Super Radiator Coils on Sep 9, 2025 9:18:43 AM

Our Spotlight on Super series highlights the SRC team members who help keep SRC a great place to work and grow. For this installment, we sat down with Noah Reichel, a 4-year SRC employee who currently holds the title of Senior Supply Chain Manager at SRC’s Richmond, Virginia division.

Q: First off, where are you from? Where’s home?

noah-reichel-01-minNR: I was born in Germany and lived there for the first few years of my life and came to the US when I was six. My dad was German, and I have German citizenship, but my mom is from Illinois. Virginia is home for me, though. It’s where I grew up for the most part.

Q: What were you doing before coming to SRC?

NR: Before SRC I was working in a project management role for a construction company. It was basically glorified paperwork, though. It was important work for the organization, but it was tedious. After a while, I asked for a raise or for some advancement opportunities, and the answer was no to both, so I started looking around for something different, and that’s when I found Super Radiator.

Q: How did you come to work at SRC? What’s the story there?

NR: I started at SRC as a drafter working in the design department. It’s funny, actually – Jeremy, one of our drafters here, originally got the job over me when I first applied. Then, later on, another drafting position opened up and they called me, and offered me a job and I accepted.

Q: What was your role when you first joined the company and what is the nature of your current role?

NR: I worked in the design department for a while, and then we had a need in the purchasing department, so I moved to more of a purchasing function for casings and managing warehouse inventory. Now, as Senior Supply Chain Manager, I’m responsible for all of our purchasing, receiving, warehousing, and all the way to production. We rebranded the receiving team to material support, because it doesn’t just end at receiving. Our job ‘ends’ when the material is in production’s hands. They’re our customer, essentially.

Q: In your time with the company, what are some of the traits you’ve seen among people who are successful at SRC? What sorts of people tend to do well here?

NR: SRC is a place to work if you’re willing to put the work in, and if you do, it’s a place where opportunities will come your way. Even just my limited progression during my time here is mirrored in so many different ways across the company. There are so many stories of people who started in production, for example, who now work in our IT department or in scheduling, things like that. If you work hard, your contribution is recognized, and I think that’s a big part of what makes SRC special. They’re not afraid to put people in positions to succeed if they think you’re capable.

Q: What do you like most about working at SRC?

NR: It’s two things: the people I work with are great, and I love the work I do. It always feel impactful, fulfilling, all that stuff. I definitely feel like even with all the growth we’ve seen lately, it weirdly feels like a different company sometimes, but not different at all at the same time. It’s still the same place at its core.

Q: What about when you’re not at work? How do you like to spend your time?

NR: I love exploring Richmond, and I feel really grateful to live here. I think you either find a city that you love and you find a way to make a living, or you get a job you love and kind of just make the location work, and I’m lucky to be able to have a job I love in a city I love living in. Also, I’ve got a seven-month-old, so the way I like to spend my time doesn’t really come into play much these days. But I like to spend time outdoors when I can, catch some live music, spend time with friends and family, too. I love traveling, too – my mom lives in Montana and my dad is Germany.
